⌈⌉ Milí čitatelia časopisu Batcho PinJi! Sme radi, že ste si našli čas na tento krásny a bláznivý hudobný magazín. Náš tým na ňom pracuje od 9. júna 2018 a čoskoro oslávime 2. výročie vzniku. Od pôvodnej myšlienky po realizáciu skúšobného čísla uplynulo 35 dní. Na francúzsky štátny sviatok 14. júla bolo prvé číslo hotové. Samotná iskra nastala pri sústredenom posčúvaní albumu „Division Bell“ od Pink Floyd. Z originálneho nosiča, cd.
⌈⌉ Teraz predstavujeme obsah 19. čísla. Je to marcové vydanie, zamerané ako vždy na významnejšie albumy podsledných dní. Je tu 288 piesní s možnosťou streamu, 9 videí a 11 video~widgetov. Pri hlbšej prehliadke narazíte i na mimohudobné témy. Hlavným a určujúcim znakom je však album — staviame ho na piedestál. Kompletný časopis má 116 strán a v plnom rozsahu vyšiel 29. februára 2020. ✹ Album „Milujeme podívat se na masakr“, které prochází emocionální krajinou, metaforickou nocí s okamžiky klidu mezi temnými bouřkami, z nichž každá nás vede k úsvitu a jeho slibu. Je to oslava krásy vytrvalosti, naděje na stoický pohyb proti temným silám, které napadají naše myšlenky a životy. „We Love to Look at the Carnage“ — the 5th album by Brooklyn’s Wrekmeister Harmonies, J.R. Robinson, and Esther Shaw, features frequent collaborator Thor Harris (Swans, Shearwater) percussion and Jamie Stewart (Xiu Xiu) electronics. The album was tracked in a cabin in the woods and mixed with Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth, Swans) at his BC Studios. Wrekmeister Harmonies, known for their large ensemble performances and intense recordings, create immense tension with spare arrangements and instrumentation. We Love to Look at the Carnage charts a restless journey beginning in the middle of the night and ending in the wee hours of the morning. Robinson’s brooding lyrics grapple with phantoms both real and imagined, apparitions amplified by the feverish anxiety of insomnia. Shaw’s ethereal vocals dueling with Robinson’s baritone create a delicious tension. Her stellar keyboard and violin work are on full display providing moments of calm. ✹ Page 57, 58.
