Songwriter Josh Schroeder and actress Meredith Adelaide met one cold and very early fall morning at the Little Nestucca River, in Oregon 2010. The two were on set as actors for a Levi's spec ad that featured the backdrop of the beautiful NW, and were called to action for a scene where Josh serenades Meredith in a tree. Trying to keep their minds off the cold between takes, Josh and Meredith began talking about art, life, music and their love of Portland, OR. They soon discovered that their common interests and ideas were a match, and shortly after began their artistic collaboration.
The duo released their full-length album, "Planet Music" on Oct. 6th, 2011. It is available through their website, iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, Bandcamp, and Music Millennium in Portland, Oregon. Josh and Mer recently composed the network theme song for the BBC Kids Channel in Canada and they lent their voices, instrumental talents, and production style to the recording of the theme song.
Blending their love of music with film, photography, and the Portland lifestyle, Josh and Meredith developed a concept to showcase their collaborative efforts and their work as individual artists. They joked at themselves being "hipsters" and created a blog they call "Hipster Decadence" ( www.hipsterdecadence.tumblr.com). They keep fans, friends, and colleagues up to date on their creations through Hipster Decadence.

Bio JS:
Josh Schroeder is a two-time Grammy performer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and national award winning songwriter who developed his craft of indie-folk/rock in front of countless audiences. A jazz/classically-trained musician with a BA in Music Business from Central Washington University, Schroeder says of his work “It sounds like The Beatles invited Jeff Buckley and Elliott Smith to a jam session.”
Schroeder’s music has been prominently featured in TV shows such as Flashpoint (CBS, CTV, ITV), Defying Gravity (ABC), Make It or Break It (ABC Family), Degrassi (Teen Nick, CTV), and Stoked (Teletoon). Josh operates a home studio dubbed “The Warewulf Cave,” where he writes/produces music for Film/TV/Ads and works with other independent artists.
Josh has performed alongside musical icons including Dave Matthews Band, David Spade, Kenny Rogers, Tommy Tutone, Ryan Cabrerra, Visqueen and The Divorce, Kori Whithers, The Jane Does and Brienne Moore.
In 1999 and 2000 Schroeder was a member of the National Honor Grammy Jazz Ensembles. He studied Sound Studio Techniques at Thames Valley University and Ealing Studios in London, England in 2003. In 2005, he was among the winners of BMI’s National John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship contest. Schroeder graduated from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles where he studied music production and he immediately began self-producing his first solo record “Love is a Shade,” (available on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody). He was hand picked to participate as an honored member of ASCAP’s Lester Sill Songwriting Workshop, where he showcased to industry professionals among LA’s elite young songwriters.
In September of 2009, Josh signed his first major publishing deal with the Canadian music publisher Casablanca Media Songs. He made successful appearances at SXSW Festival in Austin, TX in 2009 and 2010. Upon his recent return to Oregon, Schroeder enlisted producer/drummer Jason Carter (Black Francis, Guards of Metropolis) to produce his newest solo project due for release in the Fall of 2010.
