→ Peter Lipa, renowned Slovak jazz and blues artist, releases his new author album which is called Lipa 68. The new record comes on the market after seven long years since the last successful platinum “studio album” called Lipa spieva Lasicu. This time Peter Lipa invited his son Peter Lipa, Jr. and Ľubor „Umelec“ Priehradník. The result is interesting, almost multi-genre album where the common denominator is of course Peter Lipa’s singing and his jazz-blues musical sensibility. Moreover, thanks to producers and Peter Lipa’s desire to experiment and approach music from different angles, the album acquired a modern and pleasant sound.
→ When working in the studio, Peter Lipa bet on two producers – his son Peter Lipa, Jr. and Ľubor „Umelec“ Priehradník. He has been cooperating with his son for a long time, as could be noted on previous studio albums and at concerts. Ľubor „Umelec“ Priehradník is known Slovak producer and trumpeter. His sense of working with electronic instruments and computer music was the main reason why he was invited to the studio by Peter Lipa, as the album producer. For the most part, Peter Lipa composed the music himself or in cooperation with his son Peter Lipa, Jr. The exception is the final piece called Hmla, where Peter Lipa cooperated with Martin Gašpar.
→ For some time now, there have been reports of this new album. Previous studio album has won, besides five Aurel awards and platinum sales, many new fans not only in Slovakia, but also abroad. This is reflected in the selection and preparation of the songs for the new recording. On the album Lipa 68 there are twelve songs sung in Slovakian, and also in English. Six of them are sung by Peter Lipa in Slovakian, the lyrics are by Ruda Rusiňák and Milan Lasica and six English songs are shared by Peter Kollár, Juraj Paliesek, Christian Webber and Linda De Bruyn Taylor.

→ Peter Lipa vydáva svoje dlho očakávané CD a LP s názvom Lipa 68.
