Description:
≈ New Order release their long-awaited mini-album Lost Sirens on January 14 via Rhino/Warner.
≈ The release collects previously unreleased tracks recorded for 2005′s Waiting for the Sirens’ Call.
≈ It features an unreleased mix of the Waiting for the Sirens’ Call track “I Told You So” as well as an ext- ended version of “Hellbent”, which was previously released on the 2011 compilation Total: From Joy Division to New Order, among other tracks.
≈ The eight-track album was written, produced and recorded by all band members Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris and Philip Cunningham.

≈ …day someone would dig it up, like a time capsule. We just stuck our record in a cupboard. And now we’ve got it out.”
≈ “When we did the first one ['Waiting For The Sirens Call'] we had 20 ideas for songs – we were going through a particularly prolific phase – but we couldn’t make a double concept album out of them all, so we thought we’d just do two instead,” he added.
≈ He continued: “The intention was always to write four or five more songs and then put it out 18 months or so after the first one. When we unearthed it from the cupboard recently, with the intention of re-editing some of the songs, we all agreed they didn’t actually need it, and it should just be out there. So here it is.”

Reunion with new line-up, The Lost Sirens: 2011–present:
≈ In September 2011, the band announced that they would perform for the first time since 2006, at the Ancienne Belgique, Brussels on 17 October and at the Bataclan, Paris on 18 October. The band's line-up included keyboardist Gillian Gilbert, who returned to the band after a ten year break, and Bad Lieutenant bassist Tom Chapman in place of Peter Hook. They played subsequent shows in London and South America in December.
≈ In December 2011, New Order released Live at the London Troxy, a live album from their 10 December 2011 performance at The Troxy in London. This release featured the new lineup and their first show in London in over five years.
≈ They continued to tour throughout 2012, including a short tour of New Zealand and Australia in February/March. They are confirmed to play at the 'T in the Park' festival in Scotland on the 3rd and 4 July 2012. Confirmed also, the group has agreed to perform at this year's EXIT Festival in Novi Sad Serbia on 13 July 2012. New Order performed at Hyde Park with Blur and The Specials to celebrate the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony.
≈ The reunited band intend releasing The Lost Sirens in 2012 — an eight-track album of outtakes left of the recording sessions from Waiting for the Sirens' Call. The album was discussed by Gillian Gilbert in a Brazilian interview to promote the band’s appearance in São Paulo. She acknowledged issues with former member Peter Hook, and says there is "a lot going on behind the scenes on the copyright."
