Un Escorpión Perfumado (Spanish for A Perfumed Scorpion) is the nineteenth studio album by Omar Rodríguez-López as a solo artist. Marcel Rodríguez-López and Deantoni Parks, who toured with the Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Group in 2010, are featured on the album. On November 29 an official video for the song "Agua Dulce De Pulpo" was released. Pre-orders for the CD are due to ship from Hellomerch.com around January 3, the first 150 of which receive a poster of the album artwork. Meanwhile, the vinyl edition is scheduled to ship around February 1, 2011, with an additional 150 posters being distributed. The digital download version was released on December 20. The title is a reference to the book A Perfumed Scorpion.

Marcellus Rodriguez-Lopez is a multi-instrumentalist musician and younger brother of Omar Rodríguez-López.

Deantoni Parks (born November 2, 1977) is a genre defying now wave/avant-garde/experimental drummer / songwriter,  film director, actor and record producer born in Newnan, Georgia. He is the founder; producer and drummer of the Now Wave Hood/Rock group, KUDU, and one-half of the writing duo, Dark Angels with producer and keyboardist Nick Kasper, also a member of KUDU. Currently based in Brooklyn, New York City he is a vested partner in a developing audio/visual communications agency. In between writing and performances he has been participating as part-time faculty at Stanford Jazz Workshop, Berklee College of Music and NYC’s Drummers Collective.
