♣ ♣   Tape Waves are a surf–pop band from Charleston, SC. I designed their first two 7” albums and 12” for Bleeding Gold Records. Their dreamy, sun–drenched music is very reminiscent of California. Having hailed from Charleston before arriving in San Francisco, I can relate to the connection. Their beachy pop tunes remind me of palm trees (the ones on the cover were shot in Oakland), tide soaked sand, and waning sunlight. Location: Charleston, South Carolina
