•±• The pianist/composer and arranger Viola Hammer implements the idea of her exceptional project with the help of twelve colleagues, who come from the fields of jazz, classical, and pop music. The basic idea is to use music grounded in modern jazz and let it soar to the heavens of pop, while classical instruments create a hint of film music character. Dainty electronic sounds take the listener by surprise and subtly hint at the developments in store for the second half of the CD. Every acoustic composition additionally gave birth to an electronic version. What starts subtly, lyrically, and orchestral, ends in danceable and beat–focused electronic music. The aim of the young musician is to let contrasts melt into a unified whole instead of highlighting the differences. Because, as the name Heartbeat Project already indicates, everything originates from the same heartbeat.
•±• Die Pianistin/Komponistin und Arrangeurin Viola Hammer verwirklicht die Idee eines außergewöhnlichen Projektes mit Hilfe von 12 Leuten, die teils aus dem Jazz, aus der Klassik und dem Popbereich kommen. Die Grundidee bestand darin, die Musik mit ihren Wurzeln im modernen Jazz in den Himmel der Popmusik wachsen zu lassen, und mit dem Instrumentarium der Klassik einen Hauch von Filmmusik-Charakter zu kreieren. Feine elektronische Sounds sorgen für Überraschungen und deuten auf sehr subtile Weise an, was auf der zweiten Hälfte der CD geschehen wird. Aus jeder akustischen Komposition entstand zusätzlich eine elektronische Version davon. Was sehr subtil, lyrisch und orchestral beginnt, endet in tanzbarer und beatlastiger Elektronik. Ziel der jungen Musikerin ist es, die Kontraste mehr zu einem Ganzen werden zu lassen, als die Differenzen aufzuzeigen. Weil ja, wie der Name Heartbeat Project schon sagt, alles aus dem selben Herzschlag heraus entsteht.
