Yorkston | Thorne | Khan — Navarasa : Nine Emotions
Yorkston/Thorne/Khan — Navarasa : Nine Emotions(24th Jan. 2020)
Birth name: James Patrick Yorkston Wright Born: 21 December 1971, Stratford~upon~Avon, England Born: 12 February 1967 Born: 7 February 1988, Delhi, National Capital Region, India (सुहेल युसूफ खान) Location: Cellardyke/Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire ~ Rhodesia ~ Salcombe in South Devon ~ Manchester, via Plumley, Knutsford, Northwich and Oldham ~ Isle of Wight. /New Delhi, India ~ Middletown, Connecticut Album release: 24th Jan. 2020 Record Label: Domino Duration: 17:07+20:33+19:58=57:38 (D?) James Yorkston weaves in Scottish folk, sangster and literary strands. Jon Thorne is grounded in jazz and groove. What the New Delhi~based, eighth~generation hereditary musician Suhail Yusuf Khan brings to this feast of pulses and cycles is northern Indian classical, light classical (thumri, for example) and Sufi devotional musical and literary forms.
