Tais Awards & Harvest Prize
CZECH FLAGSLOVAKIA FLAG                                                               Tais Awards/Harvest Prize
✹      Propo
Pokrýváme scénu České republiky, Slovenska a zámořských zemí.
✹      “A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.” — John Lennon  ... We think you’re going to find much to enjoy and learn from, here. Engage with these albums and they will change you. That’s why you’re here, isn’t it? My name is Ben Tais Amundssen and I am behind the scenes Tais Awards. This project began as an idea~what if one committed oneself to a craft and even within that craft, limited oneself to one true expression. The evolution would require continually going deeper, to examine and question every aspect of the process. The hope being that through this dedication and focus that one would be able to create something unique and personal. There is no end, I am continually searching, and trying to do better. „It is not a competition. You stand out by finding your own voice.“
✹      Pokrýváme alternativní, undergroundové, neobchodní a netradiční umělce různých seskupení, tvarů a žánrů. Máme exkluzivní rozhovory, recenze a články. Místo, kde se hudebníci mohou vyjádřit. Sloužíme mezinárodním čtenářům ve vlastním, hudebně~happeningovém magazínu Bat in. Eliminujeme myšlenkové předsudky, tvarujeme (školíme) sami sebe a vyzýváme k osobnímu výzkumu. Konečným výsledkem je jedinečnost. Nenásledujeme světové trendy. Snažíme se je nastolovat.
✹      Tais Awards znamenají: slovo a názor v oblasti hudebních cen, odrážejících a pozitivně ovlivňujících moderní myšlení více než půl století od roku 1965.“  — Ben Tais Amundssen, zakladatel.
My tímto způsobem nepracujeme. V přehledu ocenění najdete různé druhy umělců. Pořizujeme záznamy, písně a vrcholy hudebního nebe u nás i v zahraničí.
✹      Od 14.7. 2018 vychází elektronický monthly magazín Bat in.

210 zemích světa, což zahrnuje 227 jazyků a 14.921 měst (stav k 20.02. 2021).
✹      Není to soutěž, nerozhoduje počet. Zde rozhoduje hudba sama v synergii s neutralitou, výzkumem, prostředím, průkopnictvím a něčím neočekávaným.
Částečně i Robert Christgau. TA jde vlastní cestou, s jasným názorem a bez šablon.

8.)    Termín nejbližšího závěrečného koncertu: 29. března 2022 — viz stránky webu. Zveřejnění kompletních výsledků proběhne 19. ledna 2022 v mezinárodním magazínu Bat in“ Volume 5: issue 1 (41) a issue 2 (42).
Description:
1.a) Tais Awards (founded in 2007y.) is an organisation established to encourage, reward and promote Czech & Slovak music of excellence. Also overseas countries. It is a project of annual awards for quality musicians from Central Europe & Overseas Countries. The award has been already announced 13x, in 2008 — 2021. Now run 15th annually.
1.b) “The awards aims to capture a diversity of music while also serving as a platform for a diverse roster in terms of race, gender, ethnicity and spiritual orientation. Tais Awards should reflect the times that it exists in as a societal function. Music plays a huge piece in our vision. But it’s important for us to see awards being perceived as something broader than only music area. We’re a awards for creative voices who have a vision of how they want to be presented to the world.”     At Tais Awards Academy we create and spearhead public relations, social media, and digital marketing campaigns for a diverse range of clients.
✹      Shore Fire’s philosophy is that every project deserves a specialized, thoughtful, and thorough approach that reaches broad audiences and drives your message home.
✹      We take our clients’ campaigns to the next level and beyond, wherever they happen to start: musicians, extraordinary special concerts/venues and an annual awards ceremony in 16 categories.
✹      So whether your goal is critical acclaim, building a fanbase, or reaching new customers, we help you find your audience and make a lasting impression.
2.)    Tais Awards  is going its own way. It is not a competition. In traditional competition the fans give their votes to their favourite musicians and the winner is therefore the one with the highest score of votes.
2.1.)    The principle of TA is quite unique and non~traditional: it is a long~term monitoring and scouting of Czech & Slovakia music via live concerts, records and internet music servers as well. In the future the TA will be enriched by direct concert recording, inspired by the long tradition established by Alan Lomax, John Peel. TA feels this approach to the contemprary music sceen in Czech Republic is still missing.
2.2.)    TA is intended as a conscious opposite of the popular medialized mass competitions.
3.)    The emphasis of the competition is on quality of the song. The music genre / structure of the song / lyrics / performance / timing and similar factors are suppressed to the maximum, but for the elementary need of a sound judgement. In other words, TA permits maximum of the musical freedom of expression. After all, TA is not the creator, it is only the forefinger showing where the music delicatessen are ready to be served.
4.)    Tais Awards includes 16 partial awards:
✹      4.01.) Female singer
✹      4.02.) Band
✹      4.03.) Extraordinary concert

✹      4.05.) Song II. / Recording II. — (no czech / slovak language)
✹      4.06.) Album I. (included czech / slovak language)

7.)    Since the beginning, TA awards include a financial bonus to all of the awarded. The bonus is handed over discreetly, and the amount is known only the person/ band receiving it. These data are never published by TA, not even retroactively.
8.)    Date of the 15th TA final show: March 29th, 2022. Zámek Pacov Castle.
9.)    Summary: Tais Awards is a systematic, long~term effort / research / scouting, it is an inteligent challenge / continuous contact for supporting the musc lovers, willing to share their gifts, qualities and abilities with a hard~working attitude. We do suppose that we can are able not to let any good quality song fall in the dust without being noticed. Notes: “I think one of the biggest mysteries of America right now is this: How are we able to process unending bad news on Page One and then go about our lives the way the style section portrays us?” says Ward. “There must be a place in our brains that allows us to take a bird’s~eye view of humanity, and I think music is good at helping people — myself included — go to that place.” — M. Ward
